What is the Democratic Club of Santa Maria Valley?

What is the Democratic Club of Santa Maria Valley?

Democrats have a strong voice in the Santa Maria Valley. The Democratic Club of Santa Maria Valley (DCSMV) is chartered by the Santa Barbara County Democratic Central Committee (SBCDCC.) The DCSMV informs the voting public of the important issues that promote Santa Maria Valley as a family-friendly community. Our members are motivated to advance a progressive platform. The progressive voices are becoming more active and understood.

Democrats have a clear appreciation for equal rights, unions, public education, the environment, protecting voting rights, freedom of speech, and of course, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  Providing reliable information and facts before going to the voting polls are some of the goals of the DCSMV.

When the leaders of today are spending taxpayer monies illegally to create fake news, our defense is to provide informed views. DCSMV organizes methods of bringing this information to our community and reaches out into the community to bring the voter back to the booth. Like-minded volunteers who work in the Democratic Headquarters and in the community are facilitating the DCSMV to accomplish its goals.

DCSMV members have become more active and energized. To learn about the Democratic Club, come to one of our regular monthly meetings the third Thursday of the month at the IHOP Restaurant, 202 S. Nicholson Ave. Santa Maria, CA 93454, (near U.S. 101 and East Main St.) at 7:00 pm Guest Speaker Session (dinner optional at 6:00 pm).  Call the Democratic Headquarters for open hours at 1(805) 349-2708.

We communicate on a regular basis on our Facebook site (link on our Home Page.)  Upcoming Events and Past Events are listed under our “ SMV Past and Present Events and Dem Links” Tab on the Home Page.  Elected Representative information is available on the Home Page Tab “CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVES” and a Register To Vote online Link provides an easy way to register and/or update address, name, or other changes, and to request a vote by mail ballot.

Thank you for visiting our site!  We hope you will join our organization or attend one of our events.
