FINAL Santa Barbara County results will be available after all Provisional ballots have been counted by April 3, 2020.

If you want to watch our democracy at work, visit the Santa Barbara Elections Office during the ballot counting process.  Anyone can take a tour of the various rooms and observe the actual processes that ensure our ballots are handled with the utmost care.  

The elections office is open during the counting period Monday – Saturday, 9 am – 4 pm (closed 1/2 hour for lunch around noon) until the final ballots have been counted and reported to the state.  This year the deadline to report to the state is the first week of April, and the FINAL RESULTS will be available to the public on Friday, April 3, 2020. 

There isn’t a requirement to call ahead of time to take the tour, but it is advisable.  The number is 1-800-722-8683 ext 7, or 805-568-2200.
